About the district

Gilbert, and parts of Queen Creek.

Arizona has 30 legislative districts. Each one elects one state senator and two state representatives. LD14 is in Maricopa County. The Arizona Senate biography for the district's senator describes it as Gilbert and parts of Queen Creek.

The district calendar also lists meetings for Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified, Chandler Unified, and the Gilbert Town Council. Those civic boundaries are not the same as the legislative line. Confirm your own address before you assume you live in LD14.

The adopted map is the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission's Official Legislative Map, version 17.0, from January 21, 2022. The Legislature publishes a District 14 map as well.

Get involved

Come to a meeting, or take a precinct.

01

Show up

The district says regular meetings are on the third Monday. Republicans are welcome at the monthly meeting. The November 16 organizational meeting is limited to current precinct committeemen.

02

Become a PC

A precinct committeeman is an elected party officer. The district calls PCs the foundation of the Republican Party in the neighborhood.

03

Ask the chair

Chairman Andrew Adams is the contact named on the current district site. Write info@ld14.arizona.republican from this page, or use contact@ld14gop.com and (480) 714-9891, which are published on ld14gop.com.

How the office works

A registered voter who is a member of the party in that precinct may seek the office. Arizona sets one precinct committeeman, plus one more for each 125 voters of that party, or a major fraction of that number, using the January 2 registration report in the election year.

If the number of people who file is no greater than the number of seats, the county board of supervisors may cancel that election and appoint the people who filed. If more people file than there are seats, only members of that party in the precinct vote the precinct committeeman ballot.

The term is two years and begins October 1 after the primary. The 2026 primary was July 21, so the current term began October 1, 2026. A vacancy is filled by the board of supervisors from a list submitted by the county chairman. Only a precinct committeeman elected at the primary before an organizing meeting may vote at that meeting.

This site does not have a live list of open precincts. If you missed the filing window, ask the district whether a vacancy can be filled.

What the district asks PCs to do

  • Gathering petitions and signatures
  • Recruiting other precinct committeemen
  • Canvassing neighborhoods
  • Serving as a poll worker or watcher
  • Attending meetings

That list is the one printed on the current LD14 get-involved page. It is the district's description of the work, not a new set of legal duties.
